About HYBRID IDENTITY

Hybrid Identity Empowerment through Peer Learning and Inclusive Youth Practice

Individual story cards connected by green and citron fabric ribbons in a shared story map.

Objectives

The project aims to strengthen the hybrid identities of young people with a migrant background, particularly second-generation youth, by increasing identity confidence, belonging and active participation. Through a structured peer-learning model and digital support, it seeks to reduce social isolation and empower young people to engage more confidently in their communities.

Anonymous paper and fabric figures in an open peer-learning conversation circle.

Activities

The project will conduct a needs analysis in three countries, co-develop a peer-learning model and toolkit, and pilot workshops with young people in Poland and Norway. A Digital Learning & Community Hub will support continued exchange. Results will be shared through local events, international webinars and an open-access platform.

Three handmade workshop booklets with different activity tabs connected by a shared green ribbon.

Results

The project will produce an open-access toolkit, needs analysis and pilot report. Young participants are expected to show increased identity confidence, belonging and civic engagement. Youth workers will gain practical tools for inclusive facilitation. The model will remain accessible online and integrated into partner organisations’ regular youth activities.
